(1) Vacant Seat
(3) Vacant Seats
Regional Advisory Committee:
Currently, the San Bernardino Regional Advisory Committee has vacant seats in both Inyo and Mono counties for the Regional Advisory Committee (RAC). The RAC should reflect the geographic and ethnic diversity of Inyo, Mono, Riverside and San Bernardino counties, and it supports the council mission to promote independence and productive lives by influencing public policy in areas such as education, employment, housing, inclusion and self- determination.
If you would like to get involved, and are a person with a developmental disability or family member ready to change lives by improving the disabilities system, contact us for more information or complete the Outreach Application by going to: http://goo.gl/forms/XeZDWlZWRa
Self Determination Advisory Committee:
The Department of Developmental Services is developing a new program, called the Self-Determination Program that will let participants have more control over selecting their services and supports. One of the ways this can be done is by giving participants (or their parents or legal representatives) a specific budget to purchase the services and supports that they need to make their person-centered plan work better for them. Participants may choose their services and pick which providers deliver those services. Participants are responsible for staying within their annual budget.
If you would like to get involved, and are a person with a developmental disability or family member ready to change lives by improving the disabilities system, contact us for more information.

The Administration for Community Living wants to hear and learn from older adults, people with disabilities, your families and caregivers, about your experiences with emergencies or disaster situations. We want to learn how you plan, respond, and recover from these challenging situations. Listening Sessions will help us to understand how we can improve our support, training, and technical assistance in times when emergencies and disasters hit our nation.
Man-made and Natural Disasters: Earthquakes, Fires, Power Outages, Floods, Active Shooter
Older adults, people with disabilities, family members and caregivers will participate in a group discussion where questions in the areas of preparedness, evaluation, response and recovery will be asked one at a time by a facilitator and answered one at a time by the participants.
