Living and Loving with Laughter

Jonathan smiling and wearing a cap with a stuffed animal. My name is Jonathan, but I go by Vincent Anuneko, and when I think about who I am—I am a Comedian!

I have Autism, ADHD, and I am Bipolar. What I want the world to know is that I am a lot of other things too. I am pansexual and do not care for people who are homophobic, transphobic, or sexist.

My grandmother raised me. We had our differences, but she was nurturing and encouraged me to be creative. She has passed away now, and I live with a roommate and have support.

I am a comedian and dream of going to comedy school in San Francisco. My long-term goal is to live in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Santa Cruz and perform comedy full-time. Until then, I like to make people laugh. It does not matter to me if people laugh at me or with me, I just like to hear laughter. We all need laughter in our lives! I like using social media to produce my comedy.

I am a person who lives life to the fullest. I work four days a week as a dishwasher at a fusion restaurant, and the best part of my job is making people laugh. I enjoy getting out in the community on walks—that is where you can find me burning off energy. I am not shy, and although friendships can be hard, I try my best to remember names and faces.

I stumbled across the State Council on Developmental Disabilities Storyteller Blog and knew I wanted to share a little about myself and my dreams of working full-time as a comedian in a bigger city. Thank you for the opportunity!
