Will I be able to get a transportation company to take me to and from my day program?

SCDD Description

A business that provides transportation for individuals served to and from their community-based day program or to other vendored services of the regional center.

 DDS Description

A transportation company provides transportation services to individuals to and from their day services or other
destinations to meet individual needs as identified in the IPP.
Providers shall meet the requirements including the current business license as a transportation company and proof of adequate insurance as specified in Title 17 of the CCR section 54342(a)(84).

 Example

You will be starting a day program that teaches acting, singing, and dancing. It will be Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The regional center may pay for a van to pick you and other program participants up from your homes and take you back when the program is over.
