Can physical therapy help with movement, strength, or mobility?

SCDD Description

Physical therapy uses evaluation, treatment, exercises, and therapeutic techniques to improve physical functioning and mobility.

 DDS Description

Physical therapy services designed to improve or restore physical functioning and mobility through evaluation, treatment planning, treatment, instruction, consultation, and therapeutic techniques. Services are available to participants age 21 and older when state plan physical therapy benefits have been exhausted. State plan benefits are generally limited to six-month treatment periods but may be renewed if determined medically necessary.

 Example

A participant receives physical therapy to improve balance, walking, strength, or safe transfers.
