SCDD Description

Service that provides personal support with routine household activities, accessing medical services, and animal companions.

 DDS Description

Personal Support Services provide hands-on assistance with daily living tasks, household activities, accessing medical care, and other essential needs.
The focus is on completing tasks for the individual (rather than skill-building), tailored to needs that cannot be met independently due to the person’s disability.

 Example

You need someone to help you with transferring, dressing, bathing, toileting, and feeding. They must also be able to cook, take you to medical appointments, and help feed and bathe your companion dog.
