A self-advocate or family member is vendored by the regional center and they pay directly the costs of providing their own transportation or arrange for and pay directly an individual to provide the transportation service. The family must show financial need and justify that this service will enable the self-advocate to remain living in the family home .For families of minors, the costs cannot exceed the amount that the family would pay for a minor child without disabilities.
