Is there a group home in my neighborhood that has a vacant bed which could provide respite for me when I go out of town for the weekend?

SCDD Description

A residential facility whose primary business is as a group home for its regular residents, but who may provide respite on a temporary basis if they have a vacant bed.

 DDS Description

Services that provide a break from the daily care needs of a consumer to their family or caregiver. This respite occurs outside of the family home.

 Example

You will be out of town for a few days for a vacation or to take care of your ill parent. You don't feel comfortable having someone you don't know well taking care of your child and living in your home while you are away. You would like to find a placement in a group home that has a vacant bed.
