Where can I take my child who has severe medical needs to be cared for while I am out of town?

SCDD Description

Provides temporary out-of-home respite services to individuals in a hospital or facility, to allow some temporary relief for the parent/primary caregiver.

 DDS Description

Provides out-of-home respite services, which consist of intermittent or regularly scheduled temporary care to individuals in an acute care facility.

 Example

You are a parent of a child with severe medical challenges. You will be taking a much-needed vacation. There is a small community hospital nearby with staff who know them and are skilled in handling their sometimes sudden or urgent medical issues.
