Who will put me to sleep when I have surgery to repair my broken ankle?

SCDD Description

A nursing service that provides anesthesia.

 DDS Description

A regional center shall classify a vendor as a nurse anesthetist if the vendor: (A) Is a nurse anesthetist who is validly licensed by the California State Board of Registered Nurses and certified by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists; or (B) Is a nurse
registry from whom the services of a nurse anesthetist are obtained.

 Example

You are scheduled for surgery to repair your broken ankle. Before surgery, you meet with the licensed nurse anesthetist, who explains that they will give you medication so you do not feel pain during the procedure.
