Can I get transportation to community activities, work, or services?

SCDD Description

Transportation support that helps the participant access SDP services, community activities, employment, resources, and community life.

 DDS Description

Transportation services help participants access SDP services, employment, community activities, and other supports identified in the IPP. Services may include transportation assistance, transportation aides, and specialized transportation for individuals unable to safely use public transportation. Natural supports such as family, friends, and community agencies are used whenever possible before paid services begin. This service is provided in addition to medical transportation and state plan transportation services and does not replace them.

 Example

A participant uses non-medical transportation to attend a job training program, community class, or volunteer opportunity.
