Can prescription glasses be covered for an adult participant?

SCDD Description

Prescription lenses and frames for adults age 21 and over when prescribed and when state plan limits have been exhausted.

 DDS Description

Prescription lenses and frames for participants age 21 and older, prescribed by a physician, when state plan benefits have been exhausted. State plan coverage for lenses and frames is limited to participants under age 21 and residents of nursing homes. This service does not replace any coverage available through the state plan or EPSDT benefit.

An adult participant receives replacement prescription glasses needed for daily functioning and safety.
