DDS DescriptionHousing Access Services include two parts:
1) Housing Transition Services – Help individuals prepare for and move into housing. This includes assessments, creating a housing plan, assisting with applications and housing search, setting up utilities, coordinating move-in details, and developing a housing crisis plan.
2) Housing & Tenancy Sustaining Services – Help individuals keep their housing. This includes education on tenant responsibilities, support with landlord relationships, resolving disputes, preventing eviction, ongoing planning, and building skills for successful tenancy.
These services support housing stability but do not pay for rent or room and board.
You want to move into your own apartment but need help completing applications, talking with landlords, understanding your lease, setting up utilities, and learning how to avoid eviction.
