Who can provide services to my child who just returned from the hospital and needs physical and occupational therapy at home to maintain strength and function?

SCDD Description

A business that provides licensed individuals to come into the home in at least one of these areas: nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, medical social work or home health aide services.

 DDS Description

A Home Health Agency is a licensed provider that delivers skilled nursing care in the home along with at least one additional service, such as physical, occupational, or speech therapy, medical social work, or home health aide support.

 Example

My child had surgery to remove a growth in their abdomen. They are home now but very weak and losing muscle tone. The doctor may arrange for a home health agency to provide a physical therapist twice a week and an occupational therapist twice a week.
