Care and supervision for children for less than 24 hours while the parent or primary unpaid caregiver is out of the home, when the cost exceeds typical care for a child of the same age without disabilities.

Care and supervision provided for less than 24 hours per day in the participant's home or an approved community setting while parents or primary unpaid caregivers are unavailable. Services support the participant's health, safety, daily living needs, and socialization while helping families maintain the participant at home. Payment may only be made when the cost of the service exceeds the cost of providing the same care to a person of the same age without disabilities.

A child receives approved day care support so the parent can work or attend required appointments while the child remains safely supervised.
