Support to build skills and access opportunities for competitive integrated employment and community-based work.

Individualized services that assist participants in developing and maintaining the skills needed for competitive integrated employment, including self-employment, community participation, and independence. Services are based on the participant's IPP goals, preferences, and support needs, and may include job development, job coaching, workplace and social skills training, self-advocacy, benefits counseling, career planning, and technology supports. The goal is achieving and maintaining paid employment at or above minimum wage in an integrated setting. Transportation from the participant's home to their place of employment is not included, and services may not duplicate supports available through the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 or the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

A participant receives job coaching, help preparing for interviews, and support learning workplace expectations.
