Can I get lessons in first-aid or driving or other skills and supports that will make it easier for me to get a job?

SCDD Description

Education supports related to success in employment such as driver training, CPR, first-aid training, learning about college or vocational schools, or college housing.

 DDS Description

An Educational Services provider offers education-related supports identified in a consumer’s Individual Program Plan (IPP) that are not provided by the school system. Services may include training (e.g., driver’s education, CPR/first aid), educational consulting, and certain supports related to college attendance or caregiver training.

 Example

You hope to get job in a hospital stocking supplies. In preparation, you would like to get certified in first-aid and learn to drive so you will have more independence and can get to work easier.
