Can dental services be covered when they are medically necessary?

SCDD Description

Professional dental services, such as diagnosis and treatment by a dentist, for adults when state plan limits have been exhausted.

 DDS Description

Professional dental services provided by a licensed dentist for participants age 21 and older when state plan dental benefits have been exhausted. Services may include diagnosis, treatment, consultations, and related dental care. State plan dental benefits are generally limited to $1,800 annually or the amount determined medically necessary.
