How can I get help improving everyday skills in personal care, communication, safety, counting, and others?

SCDD Description

Individual instruction to improve communication and social skills, self-care, counting and reading, safety and everyday community skills.

DDS Description

Adaptive Skills Training services help individuals build and improve skills needed for daily living, communication, behavior, and independence.
Services may include areas like safety, hygiene, community access, food preparation, and social skills, and are provided by qualified professionals who meet Title 17 requirements.

Example

Because of your intellectual disability, you need extra help with skills for everyday living, like reading a menu adapted with pictures or figuring out your grocery total using a calculator or learning to better communicate with others.
