SCDD Description

Daytime program for regional center self-advocates who live in an acute care hospital or an acute psychiatric facility. Services focus on self-care, communication and social skills.

 DDS Description

A regional center shall classify a vendor as a day treatment center if the vendor provides services to outpatients at an acute care hospital or acute psychiatric hospital.

 Example

Your adult family member has serious mental health challenges and is in a psychiatric facility. While undergoing medication evaluation and therapy, they need more activities to stay engaged during the day.
