Can psychology services be covered for emotional or mental health support?

SCDD Description

Psychology services for adults age 21 and over that may include assessment, treatment, prevention, or support for emotional or mental health conditions when state plan limits are exhausted.

 DDS Description

Psychology services for participants age 21 and older that may include assessment, treatment, prevention, and support for emotional and mental health conditions. Services are available through the waiver when state plan psychology benefits have been exhausted. State plan benefits are limited to the amount determined medically necessary.

 Example

An adult participant receives approved psychological services to address anxiety, coping, behavior, or emotional regulation needs.
