Is there a type of program for adults with developmental disabilities that can help teach skills such as grooming, keeping clean, and also teach about rights and skills that will one day be needed for a job?

SCDD Description

A program in the community that assists self-advocates 18 or older with disabilities to learn self-advocacy, self-care, and pre-employment skills (such as paid internships).

 DDS Description

As part of rate reform, effective January 1, 2025, this service code will be transitioning to new service code and can no longer be used.

 Example

You want to learn pre-vocational skills so you ca work towards getting a job or creating your own business. This includes skills such as learning to be clean and neat, learning about your rights, making choices, being on time and knowing how to count.
