    The State Council wishes to express our gratitude to Senator Chesbro for having the vision and leadership to introduce SB 1270 and to Governor Schwarzenegger and our state legislature for their tremendous support. The Council is very excited about working with the Administration and legislature in making our recommendations a reality.

    Dear Governor Schwarzenegger:

    The Council is well aware of your long standing personal commitment to people with developmental disabilities and their families. Your signature on SB 1270 further exemplifies your leadership and sincere dedication to improving employment and other meaningful opportunities for Californians with developmental disabilities.
